For the next three weeks, we’re pausing our journey through Matthew for a different trip. I’m leading a group from Riverview Church to Israel and Jordan, retracing the history of our faith in the land where it all began.
Even if you can’t travel with us, you’re welcome to join us on-line. Beginning on Wednesday, we’ll post a blog entry each day explaining where we will go tomorrow, along with Scriptures describing what happened in that place.
We fly into Amman, cross the Jordan River, and head north. The shores of the Sea of Galilee will be our home for a few very hot days. Then we’ll travel by Mount Carmel and the Jezreel Valley to Jerusalem, our base for visiting the southern region. From there, we’ll travel down to Eilat on the Red Sea. We’ll cross back into Jordan, where we visit Petra and other sites from ancient Edom, Moab, and Transjordan.
So, join us for your virtual tour, starting with an orientation post on Wednesday. We’ll return to the Gospel of Matthew in the final week of May.
